Yuki Japanese Restaurant, Willeton

The warm interior makes me want to stay longer

The last time I visited Yuki Japanese Restaurant was years ago and funnily none of my friends really suggested Yuki for dinner place either...

Didn't really know what to expect after such a long time but thankfully it was a pleasant experience.

With the placement of some plants compounded by warm painted walls and plenty of lighting, the restaurant had a sense of warmth and calmness with ambient music adding to the effect.

Tables were well positioned apart allowing for private space to socialise comfortably whether as a pair, small or larger group.

Staff were friendly while attentively served customers and we felt quite welcomed.

Agedashi Tofu & Beef Teppanyaki

I ordered beef teppanyaki while hubby ordered the katsudon and the serving was really good. The beef was cooked well, tender and juicy. The dish came with the usual salad, rice and miso soup because we ordered it in a set. The katsudon had a good balanced proportion between rice, chicken and egg.

Tempura Prawn Sushi Roll

The tempura prawn sushi roll we ordered as a side was well made, tasty and didn't feel "cheaply made" like you may have come across at some other Japanese restaurants. Agedashi tofu serving was huge, came with some sweet potato tempura and it was tasty.

I had difficulty finishing my beef and donated many pieces to hubby who sat across the table from me. We came to a conclusion that next time we can settle for a teppanyaki dish and two bowls of rice.
