Brotzeit at 140 William
It was always a challenge to gather people for dinner due to their busy schedule, but we made it to Brotzeit last night! The booking was made two weeks ago and I changed the number of people 3 times up until a few hours before dinner.
We started our order with some beers. After trying on some beers (including the highly sought after banana and mango beer), we decided that the winning beer for our taste buds was the Preiselbier (with a hint of cranberry juice).
We received our starter, pork curry sausage (currywurst) and everyone really liked it. The two shared platters (Brotzeitplatte) with beer infused honey Bavarian pork ribs arrived promptly after the starter.
We chose 4 side dishes for the night: homemade spatzle, rosti, wedges, and fries. All side dishes tasted okay. Two dishes that we will definitely go back for in the future are pork knuckle and pork ribs. Austrian chocolate cake was tasty, as well as the warm apple strudel. However, the crepes was a bit of let down due to its bland taste and dry texture.
Brotzeit is a good venue for group dinner as it offers space and comfortable seating arrangements. Despite some loud patrons, we still found it easy to talk among us.
