Breakfast At Penny Garden, Swan Valley

One day we decided to have a mini road trip and drove to Penny Garden to have a special birthday breakfast with the family. I guess the long drive makes it even more special.

When we arrived there, Hubby and the rest of us were determined to have a big breakfast to fully enjoy the experience at Penny Garden. He chose the PG works but was a bit disappointed due to the tinned beans and frozen hash-brown that they served. The poached eggs were passable and didn’t come with runny yolk as requested. My grandma had the best breakfast of all with her Brekky Bruschetta that came with Turkish bread, wilted spinach, feta and mushrooms. She said her breakfast sounds healthier with the wilted spinach on the menu.

Penny Garden itself is a big white building located next to the Yahava KoffeeWorks and it looks a bit like a shelter or warehouse from the outside. When the weather permits, it would be lovelier to sit outside to enjoy the sun and the view of the lake. The restaurant was definitely fitting for large groups and families since children can have a lot of space to run around. I don’t mind dropping down to PG to try their lunch or high tea, but might give a miss on their breakfast next time.
