Carousel Buffet at Royal Plaza on Scotts
One of the reasons why I love to stay at Royal Plaza on Scotts was their buffet breakfast at the Carousel restaurant. The Carousel had won many awards in the past and continuously being voted as the best buffet restaurant in Singapore for 6 years running. I traveled solo many times to Singapore and always enjoyed my morning breakfast here.
The Carousel has their own house-made bread and desserts on display every morning. Not only that, they also provides international halal cuisines on daily basis to suit people from different culture.
My favourite station was always the noodle station where I could pick the type of noodle down to the garnishes that I wanted on it.
There were also plenty to offer from the dim sum range, some options on fresh juices, flaky and fresh croissants, fresh seafood bar and fresh tropical fruits. A lot of kids usually visited the omelette station where they could request the cook to mix various vegetables and meats in their omelette.
The buffet at Carousel also open for the public without any requirement to stay at the hotel. Carousel also serves special buffet dinner on some special days such as Valentine and Chinese New Year. The price was not cheap but definitely could be justified by so many food offering that they had as well as great hospitality from the staff.
The unfortunate thing about being a solo traveler was that there are too many things to try and only so little space in my tummy. Next time I should drag the whole family to eat here.
