Ananta Legian Hotel
One of the hotels that we stayed at when we were at Bali was Ananta Hotel. It was a four stars hotel located in Legian, and the beach was only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. When our car entered the hotel area, the most impressive thing that we first saw was the lobby of the hotel that looks similar to the letter 'A'.
From far away it'd look like a delicate lace was put together to cover the entire lobby gate, but on closer look, the carved details actually showcased three of Balinese sacred symbols (Patra Sari), which are Padma (holiness), Cupu Manik (life) and Karang (earth). The lobby was spacious, and the staff welcomed us with refreshing drinks as we went over the check-in details.
Our non-smoking Deluxe Pool Access Room was connected to the outdoor pool. At night Hubby and I usually relaxed on the sun chair lounge and had a relaxing chat about our day. The pool bar opens from 10 AM to 8 PM. There's a mini-mart across the road from the hotel if you want to buy more drinks. The hotel also offers 24 hours room service.
The breakfast buffet was prepared every day at Amertha Restaurant, and the restaurant opens early at 6:30 AM. We had a delicious breakfast there. There were options for western as well as Indonesian dishes. Around the corner from the restaurant, there was an Internet Corner with 24 access available daily as well as Wi-Fi for all guests.
We didn't get to visit the Ambara Rooftop Lounge since it opens from 3 to 9 PM and we were out for most of the days. On our last day, we went to the rooftops to see the cosy set up, and we were informed that by the late October they will change the triangle shape of the lounge to a rectangular one.
Our stay at Ananta was terrific. Each staff was amiable and helpful. I remember one guy that dropped off our laundry. He gave us extra water bottles and even gave us some chocolates. The room price at Ananta was very reasonable especially if you're looking for something better than the budget hotel.
