This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Accor Hotels. All opinions are 100% mine.
Whether you're into parks, beaches, small bars or just generic sightseeing, Perth has plenty to offer. There is a lot to see in the city alone, and you still have lots of time to visit other places too.
It's a good idea to secure your accommodation in advance. Accor Hotels has a variety of three, four and five-star hotels available throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
SWAN VALLEY
Both domestic and international flights will land at Perth Airport, with the Swan Valley being the closest tourist attraction to visit first. Being only 10 minutes away from the airport, this destination is filled with antique shops, child-friendly venues, wineries, as well as charming cafes. Swan Valley is a favourite among tourists and local people, it is also well-known for its award-winning wineries.
OAKOVER GROUND & FIORI
Oakover Grounds have a lot of things going on from a delicious sip of coffee from Fiori that can wake you up, craft beers, wine tasting, pedal boats, giant connect four, and don't overlook the beautiful view of the lake.
VISIT PERTH WINERIES
There are a lot of wineries in Swan Valley, but due to time restrictions, it is wise to do your research beforehand. Coward & Black is famous for its wine and chocolate liquor, then there's also Sandalford with a beautiful cellar door, and a great restaurant.
HOUSE OF HONEY
House of Honey serves delicious honeycomb ice cream, non-alcoholic wine, beauty products, and their renowned mead (honey wine). If you're looking for a souvenir to bring home, definitely stop by the House of Honey.
FUNK CIDER
Funk Cider is the only cidery that offers unpasteurised and preservative free cider. Their cider is made from cold-pressed fruits, and they work together with local farmers to provide fresh and delicious ciders. Must try: Sex Machine cider, with pink lady apples aged in French oak and deep vanilla finish.
DISCOVER CAVERSHAM WILDLIFE PARK
Located at the vast Whiteman Park, Caversham Wildlife Park gives a lot of opportunities for kids and adults to have a close encounter with some of the Australian mammals. Don't forget to stay hydrated when you visit the park!
If you end your journey at Swan Valley, unwind and relax at the pool of Novotel Swan Valley Vines Resort. Early check-in at 8AM or late check out at 5PM (available with additional fees).

PERTH CITY
Your trip will not be complete without a visit to Perth city. Deemed as one of the laid-back and lively towns, it is quite effortless to get around Perth. Uber and taxis are readily available, and there is a free bus service called CAT (Central Area Transit) around the city.
JUMP ON THE PERTH EXPLORER
If you're short on time, hop onto one of the double-decker 'hop on hop off' tour buses. A full loop is about two hours and will take you to see the Crown Casino, Perth Town Hall, Australia’s official Mint Bullion (The Perth Mint), and other landmarks around the Perth area. There are ports to plug in your earphones, so you can clearly hear the commentary for each place. Tickets can be purchased on board using a credit card.
EXPLORE ELIZABETH QUAY
Of course, you can't miss out on visiting Perth City. Start your walk from the famous Elizabeth Quay, where you can see the 29m tall Spanda. Spanda represents the ripple that connects the sky and the sea that links the Swan River. Elizabeth Quay hosts various eateries such as The Reveley, V Burger Bar, and Amberjacks.
BARRACK JETTY & RIVERSIDE
Take a relaxing Segway tour, and take time to stop for awesome photos. Other than walking, the Segway tour is the best way to see the Swan River foreshore, Supreme Court Gardens, and the new Perth Stadium. Segway tour starts from the Barrack Jetty, the home of the famous Bell Tower. There are 18 Swan Bells located inside the Bell Tower, and you can also see the Bell Ringers in action.
KINGS PARK
Take a walk around Kings Park Botanical Garden and take in the view of the city from the top. A free guided walk starts daily in front of Aspects of Kings Park, and available at 10AM, 12PM (1 September - 30 June), as well as 2PM.
LATE NIGHT IN NORTHBRIDGE
Flock to Northbridge at night, where you can find Asian eateries, speakeasy bars, funky boutiques, and casual pubs. There is Billy Lee's Chinese restaurant, an institution for students and club-goers that are looking for a late night feed. Lucy's Love Shack opens until 5 AM from Wednesday to Saturday, with delicious thin pizza and craft beers.

FREMANTLE
The next destination is one of my favourite places in Perth, and I spent many of my days there. Fremantle is a port city, and the start of the international container trade started at the city's Inner Harbour in 1969. Fremantle is a kaleidoscope of food, history, arts, and style.
FREMANTLE PRISON
Depending on your transit time, you can either go for the day or night time Torchlight tour at Fremantle Prison. This prison was decommissioned as a maximum security gaol in 1991 and became the first building in WA to be included in the World Heritage list.
FIND GOODIES AT FREMANTLE MARKETs
If you visit Fremantle over the weekend, then attending the Fremantle Markets is a must! This place only opens on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8AM onwards. You can find a lot of handiworks, fresh produce, the famous Dosukoi ramen, gluten-free doughnuts, and various clothing stalls .
FISHING BOAT HARBOUR
Have a stroll and even a plate of fish and chips from Cicerello's or Kailis Fish Market. Take some photos with the bronze statues of the fishermen, and walk down to Little Creatures brewery to sip some cold beers.
SEE THE BEAUTY OF SOUTH BEACH
If you're a sunset hunter, South Beach is a great spot to feast your eyes on the beautiful Fremantle sunset over the Indian Ocean. There's a cafe, spacious car park, and an abundant grassy parkland for a picnic. South Beach Sunset Market is on every Saturday evening from 5 to 9 PM during the summertime.
SMALL HIP BARS
There are a few small bars that operate until late in Fremantle. Mrs Brown, Madalena's, and Whisper Wine Bar have a broad range of wine in their menu. If you like your cocktails, visit Vin & Oli, Who's Your Mumma and Strange Company, all three also have a wide range of craft beers available.
There are plenty more places to explore in Perth that will take more than one or two days, such as Margaret River and Rottnest Island. The next time you plan a holiday, don't forget to consider Perth as one of the destinations and plan your staycay well.
