Brand’s Laira is an iconic winery, nestled in the heart of the famed "terra rossa" strip of the Coonawarra region in South Australia. Brand’s Laira wines accompanied the three-course meal that Kim Brennan (Post) and Stefano Rosi (Tipo 00 Melbourne) cooked as part of their pasta battle cook-off at the Post, Como the Treasury's Osteria. Also, Brand’s Laira is the official Wine Partner for Good Food Month for the next three years!
Brand’s Laira's old vine vineyards dated back to 1893. In the latest 2018 James Halliday Wine Companion book, Brand’s Laira has been awarded 5 stars for "best wineries of the region". I was impressed by Brand’s Laira Blockers: Cabernet Sauvignon, it also received a lot of praises on the night of the Pasta Battle.
We were truly spoilt with delicious meals that night, and I found it quite hard to choose the winner of the cook-off. It was a rare event that was hosted during Good Food Month, so I'd highly recommend booking the tickets to Good Food Month events in 2019. Don't miss out :-D!
