Re-launch of V Burger's Americana Burger
It was jam-packed at V Burger Victoria Park last night as 22 people crammed inside the premise to experience the re-launch of the Americana Burger. Andre, one of our friends was so excited that he plotted all the side dishes he wanted to order days before the event.
The new Americana comes with a toasted brioche bun which was quite crunchy, moist and sturdy enough to support the juicy burger. The grilled prime beef patty was still there and everyone really enjoyed their burgers especially with a good balance between the bun, meat, tomato relish and cheese. We couldn’t find any pickles in the burger and thought that it might have be removed from the recipe. The feedback from last night was that some people would love to have more melted cheese in their burgers. Some people thought a more cheesier smelling and tasting burger would make it a real winner.
The side dishes that we ordered last night were crumbed mushroom and onion rings. Both were really good but some of the onion rings were quite squishy and the bottom two rings were soaked in oil. I visited other table to steal a chicken gem (crumbed chicken and coriander) which was so tender and delicious when dipped in spicy mayo sauce.
The new Americana burger didn't disappoint and the changes definitely worked, especially for the 22 people who walked out with full tummy last night.
