Bento Bomb, Cockburn

Bento Bomb is a small Japanese restaurant located in Cockburn Central and only within 2 minutes walking distance from the train station. A Korean couple is running the restaurant and they are always open on Mondays where other places usually closed.

The Cockburn Central train station area has grown so much over the years and now there are about 8 dining options to choose from. I wouldn’t be surprised if another one has popped up by the time this review is uploaded (hahaha).

Bento Bomb’s specialty is their o-bento where they put a bed of sushi rice with different toppings on top of it and put everything inside the bowl in the shape of onsen bath buckets. It was completely adorable and each o-bento comes with the meat of your choice, seaweed, lotus chips, pickled radish, pickles, gingers and the latest addition was a jalapeno pepper. The beautiful colour that Bento Bomb created for the o-bento was enough to tease the eyes.

I visited Bento Bomb three times so far and never had any complaints with their food. Everything was always prepared very quickly. If you plan to go in a group, do note that Bento Bomb can only fit 16-18 diners in one go. Bento Bomb opens every Mon - Sat from 11AM to 3PM and 5 to 9PM.
