Lupo Lab Mt Hawthorn - Pasta, Passion & A Perfect Tiramisu

There’s something about fresh Italian pasta, lovingly made and served in a cozy space, that just warms your soul. And for me, Lupo Lab in Mt Hawthorn is that place, charming, consistent, and full of delicious memories 🍷💕

Daniele, after his big trip to Italy!

I was introduced to Lupo Lab by Charlie on a sweet little lunch date. He was heading to Italy soon and wanted to get into the mood with their Tonnarello Cacio e Pepe, pasta served with melted pecorino and cracked pepper. Naturally, I stole a few cheeky bites (as one does), and wow… that dish had me hooked.

A Little Pasta, A Little Faux Pas

That day I ordered a coffee with my pasta, thinking I was just being my usual café girlie—but when I went back with Daniele, he (being Italian, of course 😏) gently scolded me. Apparently, in Italian dining culture, aperitivo first, coffee after. Lesson learned: no espresso until the fork is down! 😂

But yes, I still ordered the Cacio e Pepe again. I know. It’s that good.

👯‍♀️ Sharing the Love, One Forkful at a Time

I brought Shayan from the office to Lupo Lab for lunch and, you guessed it, I ordered Cacio e Pepe again (I swear I was trying to diversify). The next time, I came with Siu Fan and finally branched out… thank goodness, or I would’ve missed their magical tiramisu 😍

I ended up taking two servings home to share with the work crew. Let’s just say… I was very popular that day 😏

🐙 Seafood Surprise & Amatriciana Dreams

When Lupo Lab invited me to dine and share a review, I was excited, but I already knew I loved their food. So I took a risk and ordered something new: Calamari Ripieni.

Tender calamari tubes filled with diced calamari, tuna, olives, capers, mint, and basil, paired with crunchy homemade fishcakes and a fresh salad. If you're a seafood lover, add this to your list ASAP 🐟✨

Daniele ordered the Tonnarello Amatriciana, a saucy combo of slow-cooked San Marzano sugo and wine-braised guanciale, authentic, rich, and totally comforting.

Lupo Lab Burrata

BURRATA

And if you love your tomato, a must ordered dish for your side is Burrata served with tomato prepared three ways and pistachio pesto. It's a really refreshing dish, and perfect for the warm weather!

🥹 Why Lupo Lab Feels Like Home

Everything about Lupo Lab is charming, from the warm welcome, the buzzing atmosphere, the pillowy house-made pasta, and the finishing touch of an ethically sourced coffee with purpose. Whether you’re going for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a glass of wine and tiramisu, you’ll leave feeling nourished in more ways than one.

Just promise me one thing: order the Cacio e Pepe at least once. Or five times. No judgment here 😉
