Sakura Sake, Northbridge

I went for a Japanese food feast that Andjelka arranged at Sakura Sake. The decor of the place was modern. We sat at a long communal table where it had two tablets on each end of the table. We ordered our food using the tablet. We only wished that they have more description for the different type of sake there.

We started with two bowls of Yasai salad, a platter of nigiri, seaweed salad and edamame. Then some sushi rolls came to our table. The carpaccio roll was delicious that the guys at our table decided to order an extra roll. My favourite one was the vegetarian one with Inari skin and seaweed as the topping

The large sushi boat was epic, and it was a good portion for a group of 10 people. The menu called it Sakura Boat Platter in XL size. We also ordered various sushi rolls and a bottle of small plum wine for myself.

Ai-Ling who sat next to me decided to order a portion of okonomiyaki and pork katsu. When it arrived, the okonomiyaki didn't look authentic at all, and it was quite soggy. I think Perth still doesn't have a real contender for Japanese okonomiyaki. I'm still waiting for an okonomiyaki restaurant with the DIY hot plate table to open here.

Try to go in the group if you want to try various sushi rolls and dishes from the Izakaya range. We enjoyed our dinner, and most meals were delicious. The restaurant is spacious and can cater to a small and big group.
