Tim Ho Wan, Perth

I got really excited when I heard that Tim Ho Wan is opening a restaurant in Perth. I had good experiences at other Tim Ho Wan in different country and interstate. My favourite dish at Tim Ho Wan was the Baked Bun with BBQ Pork.

During the launch, we were able to order any dish to our heart content. The people that we shared the table with decided that we had to order everything on the menu. So we did. We even competed with the table next to us to see who could order more dishes! Tim Ho Wan Perth has a small menu when compared to other branches.

The Baked Bun with BBQ Pork lived up to the expectation. Sadly Tim Ho Wan Perth still doesn't offer takeaway service for the Baked Bun with BBQ Pork. If not I will definitely get it whenever I visit Raine Square for a movie!

Other than the Baked Bun with BBQ Pork, I also enjoyed their wonton noodle. I'd love for the Vermicelli Roll (Cheung Fun) to have more sauce. Three times I went there, and all those times I asked the staff for extra sauce for multiple vermicelli roll dishes that we ordered. I also like the spinach dumpling with shrimp, compared to their shumai.

I went back twice to Tim Ho Wan after their launch night. Did it live up to expectation? Unfortunately, I still stand on my opinion that there are better dim sum places in Perth when compared to Tim Ho Wan. On another note, Tim Ho Wan offers a central dim-sum place for people who go to Perth city. It's also easily accessible by public transport. The simple menu is also useful for a dim-sum beginner to test and try out.
