High Tea at SOOL Cafe & Lounge
I was catching up with a friend and we decided to try SOOL (Story of Our Life). Situated on Hay St, right near Tony Romas, SOOL identifies itself as a cafe and piano lounge.
The venue aesthetics certainly hits the nail on the head when it comes to giving off a sleek and cool vibe. Murals on the wall coupled with dark toned palettes had a very relaxed and jazzy look. Located close to the entrance is a grand piano and electric guitar and.
There is plenty of seating and we opted for the high tea. The high tea is available between 2 and 4PM. We were first presented with an assortment of mini sandwiches with different fillings. From simple ham and cheese to cucumber, chicken and mushrooms. The bread was a bit harder than I'd liked and the sandwiches were standard fare.
We also got two glasses of sparkling wines and a three tiered platters of sweets consisting of an assortment of biscuits, mini fruit muffins, eclairs, scones, macaron and other cakes. They were enjoyable and is a good fit for high tea.
The high tea was alright but didn't quite make a huge impression on me. The venue is interesting and I would love to visit Sool in the evening one day to see what else it has to offer.
